Back to normal

Our break now seems to be a life time away - we have worked at the double and all orders, sample requests and emails are up to date as of yesterday afternoon. If you haven't heard from us and expected to please let us know.

We are very pleased to hear that Royal Mail strikes have temporarily been stopped until after Christmas - such a relief.

We have called at the Contract packers this afternoon and now have in our possession lots of new ribbons - we took most of the piccies before we went on holiday so hope to get these on the website over the weekend

Autumn Glory - cards and a fabulous wreath

I must admit Autumn is one of my favourite times of the year I just love the rich colours we see all around us, I don't have many cards to make at this time of year but I hope you like the great selection that Sarah Carrington has made:

Happy Birthday

Below is a great idea for some Autumn Decor - an autumnal wreath - you can find all the details and a recipe for how it is made on Leonoras blog - I think I may have missed the boat for an autumnal wreath but the idea can so easily be transferred to Christmas

Coming soon - Don't worry....

Hi there - don't worry if you can't access the Ribbon Oasis website it is currently undergoing a few changes that shouldn't take too long.

It has only taken since July (very long story) to get everything in place to take paymetns direct from the website. We know lots of customers have experienced problems with Paypal and Paypal won't accept certain cards, hopefully very soon we will be able to take payments direct so if you have encounterred problems with paypal there will be another option for you.

Busy Times

Sorry to have not blogged for the last week, we had a mini crisis with our shade cards - our outsourcer had some problems getting these completed by the end of September so we ended up having to do the first part of the new satin shade cards in house - I have been surrounded by these cards for the last few days - hopefully the new cards should stay in stock for awhile our outsourcer is now up to speed and should be able to react quickly if there is a run on the cards.

We have also had quite a few new additions - some great shimmery glittered ribbons just in time for Christmas - the mini checks that we mentioned before are now all uploaded and we have more stock of the Happy Baby ribbon - the blue and pink versions were only in our baby mix cards but now we have these to buy separately.

End of the week round-up

Where has the week gone - I have ran out of hours (as usual) so just a quick update - we have just added one of the most popular Christmas ribbons from the last couple of years - the casual check gingham in red - which is so popular at this time of year - the good news the price was £0.35 metre and we have now got it at 5 metres fro £1.50 so a little saving for you. I have also just added the rest of the cute small grosgrain bows. Strictly Dancing has just started so I am off to get a fix and hope that I enjoy it more this year than last.

I hope you manage to get a crafty session over the weekend - I am off to my beading group tomorrow and then a meditation course on Sunday so hopefully I will be fully recharged by Monday if I do get some spare time I will try and get some more goodies uploaded but I have a few stamped images just waiting to be coloured in so may get distracted!

Have a good weekend
